It is with great pride that I introduce you to Hope Haus Philanthropic Foundation. Since our founding in 2025, we have been driven by a single, urgent purpose: to change the trajectory facing Namibia’s youth.
The numbers tell a sobering story. Youth unemployment in our country stands at 46%, and the World Bank warns that without decisive action, this crisis will only deepen in the years ahead. Behind every statistic is a young person full of potential. Potential that too often goes unrealized simply because the doors to education, skills, and opportunity remain closed.
We founded Hope Haus because we refuse to accept that this is the only path forward. Guided by our board of seven directors and grounded in accountability, generosity, empathy, and innovation, we have built a foundation focused on three pillars we believe can shift this trajectory: Education, Sports and Wellness. Through them, we aim to equip young Namibians not only with knowledge and skills, but with the confidence and wellbeing to carry them into meaningful employment.
Our vision extends beyond Namibia’s borders. We are working toward a future where the cycle of poverty across Africa is broken , where education, health, and economic opportunity are within reach for all, and every African can live with dignity and the chance to grow.
This work is far from finished, and it is not ours alone. It takes partners, donors, and communities who believe, as we do, that investing in youth today is how we build the Africa of tomorrow. I invite you to join us on this journey.
With hope and determination,
Erastus Abiatar
